Authentication & captive portal
Captive portal with custom-branded splash page — venue logo, colours, terms acceptance, optional newsletter field. Vouchers with single-use / reusable / time-based expiry. Standard social and email gateways. PMS-driven guest passes polled directly into 8Fi.
Network segmentation
VLAN tagging per SSID — resident VLAN, staff VLAN, guest VLAN, building-systems VLAN. Each user group on its own broadcast domain by default. Guests cannot see resident traffic; staff cannot see guest traffic.
Wireless security
WPA3-Enterprise for staff and management access. WPA3-Personal / OWE on guest SSIDs where devices don't support Enterprise. Protected Management Frames (PMF) enforced everywhere. Rogue AP detection flags unknown access points on the same SSID.
RADIUS & policy
Built-in RADIUS server — no separate infrastructure, no licence add-on. Dynamic VLAN assignment by role at authentication time. Per-user bandwidth profile, session length, connection count. RADIUS accounting for billing reconciliation in commercial deployments.
PMS integration — no API fees
